Eligibility and Registration:
1: Eligibility: Open for all ages.
2: Persons below 18 years of age may participate with parental consent.
3. Only one category for all age groups.
4: Registration is compulsory for submission.
5. Registration start date: 1st July 2024
5. Last day for registration: 31st July 2024
6. Registration fee: Rs. 100 up to the registration date and Rs. 200 afterwards.
Painting Specifications:
1. Painting must be on the topic of the contest.
2. Any hangable painting in any media, including reliefs is allowed.
3. Minimum Size: 24″x24″ (60cm x 60cm).
4. Maximum Size: 48″x48″ (120cm x 120cm).
5. Maximum weight: 8 Kg (including frame, mount, glass, etc.)
6. Any size between maximum and minimum size is allowed. Such as 24″x36″, 42″x48″ etc.
7. Actual Painting size will be measured. Frame, mount etc. will not be measured.
8. Paintings need to be original painting. Copy painting will not be accepted.
Submission:
1. Paintings can be submitted during 1st August 2024 to 15th October 2024 (facility to upload photos/scanned copies of paintings will be available from 1st August 2024).
2. Maximum number of submissions: 3
3. Submission Fee: Rs. 400 (regardless of submitting 1/2/3 paintings)
3. Submission fee will be zero for applicants born after 30 June 1999 AND before 1 July 2006. We may also help needy and selected applicants towards physical submission expenses.
4. Thought: The contestant may write a maximum 100-word essay/description and title for each painting.
6. Selected paintings will be called for physical submission.
Selection Criteria:
1. Painting not related to the topic will be rejected.
2. The jury will be a panel of senior and prominent artists.
Stages of Selection:
Stage 1:
1. This will start after the online submission of paintings.
2. Paintings not adhering to specifications will be removed.
3. Out of the remaining paintings, 50 promising paintings will be selected for physical submission.
Stage 2:
1. Selected Paintings will be displayed in the exhibition hall. The selected applicants must deliver and take back the paintings at own cost (except for financially needy applicants).
2. Jury’s final selection will happen after scrutiny of physical paintings.
Prizes:
1. First Prize: 100,000 Rs. (one lakh rupees)
2. Second Prize: 50,000 Rs. (fifty thousand rupees)
3. Third Prize: 25,000 Rs. (twenty-five thousand rupees)
4. Seven consolation prizes: 10,000 Rs. (ten thousand rupees) each
5. All selected entries will get certificates.
6. All winners will get medals and certificates.
Other Conditions:
1. All award-winning paintings will become the property of the Brights’ Society.
2. The paintings will be subject to Indian laws and regulations.
3. Paintings must not depict any religious symbols or figures.
4. Fees are not refundable.
5. Brights’ Society reserves the right to change these conditions. (such as the extension of dates).
6. Brights’ Society may increase the prize amounts or increase/reduce number of prizes based on the jury’s recommendations.
